Mahuki is the brainchild of Czech-born guitarist and composer Honza Kourimsky, based in Edinburgh, UK. Fusing raw cinematic energy with hypnotic rhythm, Mahuki’s music moves between spiritual jazz, fusion, and the harder edges of groove-based improvisation. Since launching the project in 2022, he has built a sound and identity rooted in intention, humility, and connection—values that shape not just the music, but how it’s made and shared. The project has since earned support from BBC Radio 3, Jazz FM, and UK Jazz News and was nominated for the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award in 2024.
